Reception: 6:30pm

Meeting: 7:00pm

Presentation: 7:30pm

“Letters from Home at Christmas” with Brad Quinlin

Brad will be selling and signing his brand new book

“Duty Well Done – History of the 21st Ohio Infantry”

*Where: KSU Social Sciences Bldg. Auditorium

In December, we continue with another excellent program. Brad Quinlin has put together a special presentation just for us. Many of you know Brad and his work at the Marietta National Cemetery. For his program in December, we will have soldiers and mothers from the civil war reading letters written to each other at Christmas. Knowing Brad you will probably feel as though you are sitting around the campfire with the soldiers as they write to their loved ones at Christmas. He will then tell us what it might have been like for the soldiers in the field at Christmas. I’m asking you to invite and bring everyone you can to this presentation especially family (children), neighbors and co-workers. We are having this in a room that will hold 300 people and I would love to see it filled up!!! I will send out a flyer soon so you can use it to help promote the meeting.

The December meeting will be on the KSU campus in the Social Sciences building (Bldg. # 22 on the KSU map) in the auditorium – Room 1021. There will be people directing you from the parking lot. Parking will be in the West parking deck off Campus Loop Road. There is an elevator in case you cannot find a parking space at ground level. The Social Sciences building is a very short distance from the parking deck.
